A member asked:

My father's tgs and tl have gone down from 800mg/dl and 500mg/dl to154mg resp using rosuvastatin 40mg (2mths) should dose b reduced to 20mg or continu?

Cholesterol: You can try 20 mg because it is safer than 40 mg and you do not get much better reduction to justify the risk. If it does not work you can increase it again but you need to monitor muscle cramps, CPK, liver function tests, glucose and lipid panel every 2 to 3 months during treatment
