Genital warts: Genital warts can be a clinical manifestation of human papilomavirus . Up to 90 percent of them are associated with HPV. Although treatment can get rid of them they often recur in 20 to 30 percent of people. Spontaneous regression occurs in 40%. Many warts remain asymptomatic and can last for months. Treatment is medical and sometimes surgical.
