Irregular periods: If you have not had a period in 5-6 weeks then definitely check a pregnancy test. If you are not pregnant and do not get a period after about 8 weeks then you should see your doctor for further evaluation. Many things can cause an irregular cycle, most of which are not medically "bad", but you should be seen for an exam and possibly other testing such as blood tests or ultrasound.
