Not really: One might notice a swelling or lump at the front of the neck... but then would have to see a doctor to exaamine that anyway. One could find a doctor who does house calls, but that's hard to find because insurance companies don't want to pay for a doctor to drive back and forth. Sometimes, thyroid lumps do not alter hormone levels... so if one is worried, both blood tests an exam are needed.
