Not unusual: Pox on the genitals or around the anus do occur. They are sometimes more irritating than those on regular skin but will heal if you keep them clean. Some of the itching is due to your own body sweat getting into the wound, so rinsing the sites with cool water helps. Try not to dig at them & watch them for conversion to a skin infection by staph or strep (more redness, discharge, swelling)
