Please clarify...: Did the irritation begin after 5 days, or did it begin at shaving and last for over 5 days? If the first case is true, then you should look for an explanation other than shaving. If the second case is true, then that's not good either, and you may be causing more trauma than you realize. If the irritation recurs/persists, then let your clinician take a look at it and advise you. Hope that helps.
