Cycle irregularity: Cycle irregularity is not uncommon particularly in the first few years after periods begin. A number of factors can affect the menstrual cycle; stress, exercise, illness, medications etc. Monitor your symptoms if the the irregularity continues or you develop other symptoms, you should see your physician.

No: Cycle length is measured from the start of one period to the start of the next. Based on this, you had a 23 day cycle. Anything from 21 days to 35 days ( some sources say 42) is considered normal. Even with pills which give you a 28 day cycle you will have 2 periods in a month twice a year. This is normal. Hope this helps.
