See below: Unfortunately there is not enough information to give any meaningful advice. How long has he been vomiting for? Was he given any medication in the ER. What is the diagnosis for his chronic headaches? You should have your son evaluated by his primary care physician.

Mostly by history: Migraine headaches are generally diagnosed by clinical history and a negative evaluation for other causes. Unfortunately, there is no specific test for them. Even children can get migraines, which are sometimes associated with vomiting.
