A member asked:

My 8 month old refuses to eat solid food, only accepts breastmilk(i give expressed bm of 1000ml a day- 5to6feeds every 3hours)could this be the reason?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Decrease breast milk: Try feeding your child food first and then offer breast milk after the meal, If you fill his belly first with breast milk, he may not be hungry enough to try the solid food. If the problem persists, he may have an oral aversion to food that may need evaluation. Try first to give 4-5 small feedings of breast milk after giving solids first. Try cereals mixed with breast milk first then fruit/veg
