Lower dose to 30: Yes,Cynbalta can cause somnolence because of its neurotransmitter norepinephrine, so should be taken at night to minimize such effect. Also has serotonine reuptake which can cause the diarrhea, although if you have IBS, it is difficult to know what is causing it. The diarrhea and the somnolence should inprouve with time, perhaps a more gentle titration should be considered(30Mg).

Yes: Constipation is an unusual but difficult side-effect of Cymbalta (duloxetine). Most people feel stimulated with drugs like this but a small percentage will feel tired. You can try taking it in the evening and using some OTC for constipation (Metamucil will help both parts of IBS) but if theses things are severe this may not be the drug for you.
