Nondiagnostic: More information is needed to make a diagnosis. This upper abdominal pain could be due to inflammation of the stomach lining(gastritis), peptic ulcer, pancreatitis, or even gall bladder problems. Since discomfort is severe and persistent, you must be examined as soon as possible. Go to the hospital emergency room where proper examination and testing will be done.
