Musty scalp: Scalp psoriasis, and infections especially fungal infections can cause a smelly scalp. Keep the scalp clean. Have your doctor examine it for a possible fungal infection. You may need anti fungal medication. If your symptoms persist see a dermatologist for a more intensive work up.
