i have a sharp pain left side of neck that's on off. heat helps. posture and stretching seems to bring it on more. is this serious? i'm 18 and scared.

Unlikely: Many neck issues in your age group are brought on by poor posture esp slouching or lack of exercise. Use of. Computers, carrying a heavy backpack can also aggravate your neck and upper back muscles. Try to look at your posture to make sure you sit and stand fully erect. That's a place to start.
