Degeneration : The hardware may be shifting and causing pain. Even though the joint is fused degenerative changes can lead to inflammation thus leading to pain

See your doctor: Could be a number of reasons why. It may or may not be related to original surgery. Need evaluation by your physician to determine why you have pain. Then proper treatment can be administered.
