I got my birth control shot on january 6 and i was on my menstrual cycle at the time but since the shot, i haven't stopped bleeding. is this normal?

Implanon/nexplanon: The major side effect of progesterone only contraception is abnormal bleeding, be it bleeding every day or no bleeding at all. The bleeding you describe is a normal consequence of this method. Your doctor my be able to prescribe other meds, like estrogen to lessen the duration and amount, but this can be temporary relief only and may not take care of it completely.
