Male puberty: Review of literature: mean stretch penile length at 1 year of age is 3.75 cm (+/- 0.54 cm) increases to 4.84 cm by late childhood then to 9.5 cm (+/-1.12 cm) by late puberty. This number reflects mostly white population. The penile length is rarely used to evaluate puberty because it is not accurate and not an early event for onset of puberty. Length and volume of testicle is more accurate
