Blood spot: It's probably an accidental bruise. If not gone in two weeks, see your dentist for an evaluation, just in case it's something else.

Very common: This problem is usually the result of either traumatic injury or blockage of a salivary gland duct. If the blood spot lasts for more than two weeks, you should see your dentist.
