Works for me.: spices do not have a particular chemical effect to increase appetite BUT if you associate them with pleasant foods in the past they will be a trigger to eat. Certainly tasty food works better. It's mostly triggers to eat, or habits, or sometimes medical conditions (depression, diabetes, infections, cancer, thyroid) that keep people from eating or gaining weight.
