What are the complications associated with a salpingo-oophorectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Menopause: Removing only the fallopian tubes means that the woman will not be able to get pregnant naturally. Removing the ovaries together with the fallopian tubes means that the woman will not produce sex hormones any more and therefore will go into menopause.
