Open or laparoscopic: Laparoscopic 1-2 weeks for most activities open? Get a second opinion- unless u are a high cancer risk there is no reason to do this open except a history of terrible adhesions.

1 week: After a minimally invasive so (robotic or laparoscopic), you will be groggy, and feel the worst incisional and pelvic discomfort for the first 24 hours. Motivated women may return to work after 2 to 3 days. You will continue to be achy, possibly bloated, and aware of the incisions with movements for about a week. Avoid heavy lifting and high impact activities for 2 weeks.
