Acupuncture is safe.: Potential side effects from acupuncture include: bleeding (bleeding disorder or use of anticoagulants), infection (in immunocompromised person), pneumothorax, organ puncture, ^ in pain, exhaustion (needles kept in too long), lightheadedness, bruising, trauma to nerve. Acupuncture is an extremely safe form of medical treatment.
