Profound Effects: Domestic violence has extremely negative effects on the person being abused, the family, and even the abuser. At the first sign of violence, intervention needs to be done. You and other members of the household must vacate the home (to stop any further abuse, report to a shelter for families, and notify police. This kind of abuse should never happen twice.
