Tourette Syndrome: is an inheritable Neurodevelopmental Disorder, caused by gene mutations yet to be defined. Diagnostic criteria = multiple motor tics & at least 1 vocal tic for at least a year, with no tic-free period > 2 mos. It is often associated with ADHD, OCD & other anxiety disorders.
