A member asked:

What are the health risks associated with using a menstrual cup?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not many: Menstrual cups and menstrual discs are made of inert materials that typically have a much lower risk (approaching zero) of being associated with toxic shock. With both cups and discs, women have to be comfortable putting their fingers in the vagina to remove and clean and either toss or re-use, but no real risks.
