It doesn't!: There is no evidence to suggest that sweetsop leaves reduce nausea. The best that can be said about it from a G.I. point of view is that it does contain a significant amount of dietary fiber. Otherwise, there are no proven gastrointestinal benefits to sweetsop or sugar apple.
