Minoxidil works by: creating environment that supports hair growth where applied, by increasing local blood flow, and opening channels in the vessel walls to promote nutrient exchange. Most hairs on your body will respond at least partially to minoxidil, except those hairs which have been permanently shut down by androgens, as occurs with male pattern baldness.
