How valid are pregnancy tests after periods? doc, though i've had periods but i have pregnancy symptoms,can i confirm it by taking a pregnancy test?

Did you miss period?: If you are having regular periods, you are not pregnant. Though pregnancy can occur any time if you are having unprotected sex. You may take a pregnancy test if you miss your period by more than 5-7 days.
