2 week before period: Ovulation is about 2 weeks before each period (before the first day of bleeding). If worried about pregnancy, one can do a pregnancy test. A urine pregnancy test gives a very reliable result if done correctly. One can test about 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have occurred), or 1 week after missing a period.
