A member asked:

Why is dyspepsia relieved by food and aggravated 2-4 hours after a meal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Peptic ulcer: Likely an ulcer in the duodenum. The lower esophageal sphincter will close during a meal decreasing the irritation on the duodenum. However, when it opens to let the food pass into the small intestine, the area is again irritated.
