I have a red swollen tender finger and overnight i developed a blister on the same place, what do i do? any home treatments?

Swollen finger: need to figure out what is causing this. Any injuries? any fever? onset? could be a herpetic whitlow or a paronychia. warm water soaks with epson salt or warm compresses with antibiotic ointment may help until seem by a doctor.
