Get an exam...: Occasionally I see women in the office for this symptom Often there is nothing obvious wrong. Sometimes the cervix is a bit low and you can feel it when you insert your finger. I've occasionally found a retained tampon or other foreign body. If you are worried, get an exam and find out. Best wishes!

Swollen glands: Many times lumps in the vagina are swollen cysts. There are several of them, for example around the introitus and below the Urethra. The produce mucus that is released through ducts leading out of the gland. If the duct gets clogged, the glands swell into cysts. Many times the cysts eventually drain spontaneously.
