A member asked:

What is the comparison of glioma and capillary tangelictasia ? how can they be confused?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tumor vs anomaly: Glioma is a brain tumor (neoplasm or new growth) of the supportive tissue (glia) cells while capillary angiectasia means dilated small blood vessels which can be harmful only if those vessels burst and bleed. Aggressive or high grade gliomas have many capillaries of their own and thus both lesions do have some something in common that shouldn't but may cause confusion
