I'm not sure, but should we really be working to find cures for disease when the planet is so overpopulated?

Ethical question: That is a philosophical/ ethical question. Thus, each person has their own opinion. As a psychiatrist I am dedicated to saving lives (even thought that is not always possible). I also work towards alleviating suffering. What if you lived a very long life but suffered terribly- wouldn't you hope for a cure for pain?
