Certainly!: "Flu" is a term misused in many ways but the classic way we as providers qualify flu is when there is a viral infection caused by the influenza viruses that leads to fever, sores throat, cough, body aches, muscle aches, headache, and general malaise. When someone uses the term "stomach flu", it may not be caused by the influenza virus alone. Some of those infections are caused by other viruses.
