Rest: Most pain in the shoulder resulting from tendonitis is secondary to overuse. Rest from the provacative activity is the appropriate initial treatment. In addition, antiinflammatory medications can be helpful if taken for short durations of time 7-10 days. However, make sure that you can saftely take it, ie check the side effects.
