Not Safe Yet: The use of pillows is not recommended for children under the age of 2 years old due to the risks of suffocation and other injuries. Bed pillows can easily entrap and smother an infant or small child. It is also best to wait until child has graduated from crib to toddler bed where movement is not as restricted. A firm and small (airline-sized) pillow is best for a toddler.
