Tuberculosis: Have you been exposed to someone with Tuberculosis? Do you have any symptoms like cough! Fevers, weight loss, loss of appetite. First thing is to visit your PCP? He will probably will do a PPD and chest X-ray? If you came from a country where BCG was administered as a child, PPD will not be useful because it will be positive. Hence chest X-ray will be needed and sputum cultures for AFB.
