Staph: If the wound begins to grow, become exceedingly painful, ulcerate, numb, or becomes more red around the wound; then you need to see your doctor. One concern is a Staph infection of the skin (if a spider bite did occur, it introduces the Staph). These would be warning signs for severe bite as well.
