Needs evaluation: Bruiising that is spontaneous indicates an abnormality of the ability for blood to clot, so the lightest trauma can cause bleeding. There are many causes for this, mostly defects in the ability of the bone marrow to produce proper clotting elements. Bleeding can occur internally and cause significant damage in these circumstances. You need to see your family doctor immediately, or go to an ER.
