Needs eval: Irregular cycles are not uncommon. The most common cause is called PCOS. In any female with irregular cycles, the first thing to do is take a home pregnancy test. Next, is important to get hormone blood levels checked to make sure all is okay. At times, thyroid problems can cause this. The condition is easily treated with medication. Brownish discharge may not be the same as a true cycle.
