Too soon to test: Home pregnancy test is best done 5 or more days after a missed period. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions carefully.

Probably: If you had a negative pregnancy test and have had several days of cramping and bleeding similar to your normal period, you are probably not pregnant, however, it would best to go have a repeat blood pregnancy test to rule out a tubal pregnancy test if your symptoms continue. You should go to the er immediately if you have severe abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding.

When can I take a pregnancy test after spotting on days 9& 12 after period?

Testing: It says it clearly on all tests. To be valid a test must be at the very least two weeks after the sexual encounter and it is very well known that if you test before you miss a period then that is a waste of money since it would be too early to test. Test after you miss a period.

Yes: Home pregnancy tests should be done 4-5 days after the missed period. Use first morning urine and follow instructions for the test carefully. Try to avoid blood contamination of the urine that would use for the test.

See your doctor: As of now, you have a threatened miscarriage. You need to see your doctor ASAP for a blood typing test and to check hormonal levels. Your follow up will depend on those results.

Hi doc! my pregnancy test showed me positive but the other line is faint!am i really pregnant? im delayed for 12days and have spotting 4 days!

Most likely yes: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate and not affected by foods, herbs, common illnesses, sexually transmitted diseases, vaginal spotting, or medications. A test gives a reliable result 3 weeks after sex (3 weeks after when conception might have happened) or 1 week after missing a period. If the test result is only a faint positive line, a woman can repeat the test after 1 more week to confirm.
