How long would lymph nodes be swollen before you see a doctor?

After 2-3 weeks: If you have sore throat, the lymph nodes may be tender and swollen for 2-3 weeks and then settle down. Otherwise any painless enlargement of lymph nodes requires a medical examination to find the cause. So you need to see your dcotor if they do not settle down in 2, 3 to 4 weeks.
