Muscle strain?: For a 28yo M, muscle pull/strain would be most likely. Treated with heating pad, rest, appropriate use of nsaids, and stretching. Can be caused by poor posture, trauma, awkward sleep, stress, overexertion. Other possibilities include herniated disk or other spine issue, infection or inflammatory disease.
