A member asked:

How to know what is benign prostate hypertrophy and what are the symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Obstructive Sx.: BPH is a benign enlargement of the prostate glands that occurs in virtually all males as they age. If the lumen of the lower urinary tract is narrowed, obstructive voiding symptoms may develop. These include a weak stream, straining to void, hesitancy, stopping and starting, incomplete emptying, and dribbling among others.
