Small abscess?: Some pimples get infected and become walled off. If small and benign, can be painless. If otherwise without symptoms, watchful waiting is appropriate. It could take weeks to work itself out (expelling a large amount of pus). If it is getting larger or he has other symptoms (pain, fever) then see the Pediatrician.
