Contusion: Bruise can occur deep in the muscle and not be visible in the skin (called muscle contusion). It involves broken blood vessels and pain with the associated swelling and stretching of muscle fibers. Numbness and weakness are warning signs to see a physician urgently. Ice and message lead to quicker resolution.
