Possible: Certain laundry detergents, drying strip, fabric softener can really irritate the skin. Suggest that all of your clothing touched by new detergent be re-washed with the old one before wearing. If the problem persists, see dermatolgist. In the meanwhile, try topical hydrocortisone cream.
