A member asked:

How can you tell if you have a syte in your eye? or a more serious problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hordeolum-Chalazion: A hordeolum is an acute infection of the lid glands, The application of warm compresses should bring it to a white point of pus, either inside or outside the lid, with a few days of 4 x 15 minute applications of heat (like a cotton ball in warm water). The chalazion is a chronic inflammation of the glands that feels like a movable nodule. See an ophthalmologist if no improvement with the above.
