Shaving folliculitis: There are a couple of possibilities (but nothing dangerous!). Pubic folliculitis from shaving isn't necessarily caused by infection; irritation alone can do it, or ingrown hairs where shaved. It's good to try an antibiotic, but it doesn't always work. Or possibly bacteria resistant to cephaliexin. Continue to avoid shaving for a few days, and contact your doctor if the problem still continues.

Depends: cephalexin is for infection. does not treat folliculitis of inflammation. next time before you shave try a antibacterial soap or try waxing instead.
