I got positive blood pregnancy test but negative ultra sound. i had 2 days bleeding 5 days after period ends.what does it mean?

Further work up need: If early pregnancy can have high enough levels of the hcg hormone to give you a positive pregnancy test and be unable to see anything on the ultra sound yet. So can repeat ultra sound in a few days and monitor the hcg level with a blood test to see if rising or falling to clarify if an early pregnancy, molar pregnancy, ectopic pregnancy, or an miscarriage.
